From one dog to another

My name is Liberty Belle. I am a four-year-old female Dalmation. I was adopted from an animal shelter when I was two. My first owner was a police officer and his wife. When they had a brand new baby, they decided not to keep me, so they took me to the shelter. My second human family had several children and I am scared of children and strangers so they didn't keep me long. Back to the shelter I went. I think someone must have abused me since I am scared of strangers, but my memory is a little fuzzy. I don't think dogs are known for having good memories!
The shelter where I was living is a kill shelter. After a period of time, they kill dogs that are not adopted out. I was there longer than that, but the very nice man who took care of the shelter said that I was such a sweet dog and that I deserved a good home. So he let me stay until someone adopted me.
One day a very nice lady came in looking for a pet. She looked at me but was undecided. She came back two more times before she finally took me home. That was two years ago. I am still leary of strangers, but I am certainly not as scared as I used to be.
I want to meet other blog-dogs. I have already met one called Spencer and his family. I will include the link to his blog so you can meet him too.
